I posted before about the lunacy of the preorder. I might just have found something worthwhile. Aerosmith is actually offering something that makes it worth a damn. I know what you’re thinking, and no it’s not boxer shorts.
Finally, something worth while for preordering. Putting down a little deposit on the game will give you access to a special bundle which includes guitar, the exclusive Aerosmith faceplate for that guitar, an Aerosmith tour book and why not, the game. I’m not really into paying extra for things like face plates for guitars, but if it’s free and you know you want this, then why not? I am not telling anyone to buy this game. I don’t know yet if this will be able to save the franchise from the flop that was GHIII, I haven’t played it. I hope something with Aerosmith’s name on it doesn’t suck. I just thought it was nice for a preorder to be worth going to the store twice for the same game.

Sorry, I’ve been turned off to the GH series… since the mess w/ activision and harmonix and controller compatibility (can’t we all just get along, and play guitars on each others games?). I also like my rockband too much to want to buy another rhythm game for a while… and the GH rehashing is starting to beat the horse to death, so that they may beat it some more.
I played all three Guitar Hero games, plus own Rockband. I thought out of all these games, GHIII was by FAR the best, in terms of gameplay at least.

I’m psyched for this game. I have 2 guitars already though.. so cant really benefit from preordering a bundle..
I love Guitar Hero III, but having to pay $60 for what is essentially a few new tiers of songs is absurd. Come on Activision, get on the Rock Band DLC delivery train.
I don’t think this is a pre-order special; it’s the standard guitar bundle. Think I’ll pass and either rent it or buy it used.
And I wouldn’t worry about Activision running out. Remember when everyone said you would only get Halo 3 Legendary if you preordered? I picked up four copies at Best Buy last weekend for $30 each. Anyone want a cheap copy of the game? I just want the Helmet…

GH3 was not a flop.
It’s selling extremely well, and I’ve got both Rock Band and Guitar Hero and I enjoy them both.
I’ve had tons of fun with Guitar Hero, so calling it a flop doesn’t make much sense (considering that it’s sold well, it’s fun, and it provides me with a way to show my friends that they will never be able to be as awesome as I am at guitar, be it Guitar Hero or the Real Guitar)

aerosmith SUCKS. tell me when they make the slayer edition. that would be 9 billion times cooler. 9….billion…times.
