I don’t know how often you may visit a site like Gametrailers, but besides the teaser trailers and gameplay videos, these guys make some pretty sweet videos. Recently, they’ve taken on the enormous task of profiling and discussing every Star Wars game ever made, as they countdown to the Force Unleashed. Each video is approximately 17 to 25 minutes long, but well worth the view.

Of all of the videos, Episode IV has to be my favorite, as it chronicles the X-Wing series, which could be my all-time favorite computer game series of all time. I remember spending hours on that game and marveling every time a Star Destroyer showed up on screen. It was epic. It was like I was in the movie, kicking ass and single handedly blowing up the Death Star…

Yeah, I love both the Star Wars games and this series looking back at them. The cool (or sad, depending on who you are) thing is that I own just about every Star Wars PC/Xbox/Xbox 360 game except for two.

Missed a whole chunk of great stuff. Where’s Dark Forces 1 and 2 and Rebel Assault 1 and 2??? Or is it just console and arcade stuff? I guess there’s too much SW goodness out there for a complete retrospective.

I’ve been watching these since they started the Star Wars ones. They first caught my attention when they were doing the Final Fantasy Retrospective. Any fans of that series should definitely check them out.

What about Jedi Knight and Knights of the Old Republic series? And the mentioned Dark Forces? Or do these only look at games tied directly to the movies?
