Jim Sterling has acknowledged our open letter, and says he will take this issue directly to the folks at EA when he meets with them next week.
We are definitely aware of Battlefield’s proposed DLC, and promise to let out an almighty “WTF?” when Destructoid and EA next meet. We will most definitely share the concerns of our fellow gamers with Electronic Arts and do what we can to get to the bottom of this possibly nefarious scheme. Until then, let it be known that the notorious Destructoid community has now been made aware of Sarcastic Gamer’s boycott and now know what to do if they disagree with EA’s plans … so FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP SPAMMING OUR TIPS LINE!
As you wish Jim.
It is no longer necessary to forward your concerns to Destructoid’s tip address. There I said it.
Unfortunately we also gave the address out on last night’s Podcast, and thus there could be about 9,000 more of those emails coming, Jim. Sorry about that one. And that one. And that one.
On behalf of all of us, thanks for getting involved. Let em’ have it.
Doc

Thanks Doc.
Haven’t posted on here until today even know I listen to the every episode of the podcast and read every article.
This EA thing has just annoyed me way too much. People better believe it if we let them get away with this, it will only get worse.

I wrote an article on my site about their possible reasoning behind the two Battlefield games.

This is totally off topic, but I’ve actually seen that painting they used in the graphic in real life. I can’t remember which museum it’s in or the title. Maybe someone here knows…

Keep up the good work. You hear us EA we wont be ripped off by you anymore and that goes for other game companys that think they can rip us off with DLC. PC gamers wont and dont pay for thier DLC content so you think you can con us console owners with SMALL dlc packages for a HUGE price and content thats already on the disc. You are the scum of gaming companys EA be ashamed very ashamed.
