About a week and a half ago, we took a stand against Battlefield: Bad Company for selling us an incomplete game. Little did I know that our site would garner such an impressive response across the internets. Over 120,000 people have come to the site to either view our Bad Company Boycott Video, read about the Boycott, or download our Boycott wallpaper and avatar pics.
This is just the beginning, but I am damn proud, of all of you. The full update, after the jump.
Here’s a quick rundown of the awesome support Sarcastic Gamer has received for our boycott.
- Over 58,000 people have viewed the Boycott Video on Youtube. By the time you read this, that number will have gone up even more. Over 300 comments have been left, 99% have been positive.

It’s astounding when you think about it. Unfortunately, there are still bloggers out there that don’t think that our boycott has a chance of succeeding. They say we’re wasting our time. They don’t think that your voices count. Why? Well, because they think that you are someone that should be advertised to. They think that you should be spoon fed video game commercials, disguised as “video game journalism.” To them, you’re nothing more than a page view, a statistic, an advertising dollar. To be seen in analytics, but not heard. I think they’re wrong.
By you showing your support for the boycott, you stick your middle finger up at everyone that doesn’t believe that you have power, that believe that you don’t matter. We all matter. We all have a voice.
Let’s use it. We know that we’re not going to “bring EA down.” That is not what we want. All we need to do is to get the attention of the bean counters at EA. Make them realize that there are gamers out there that won’t be nickel and dimed, or sold an incomplete game. There’s only one way to do that and that is to hit them where it hurts… In their wallet.
Boycott Battlefield: Bad Company. Don’t buy the game. Don’t buy EA’s DLC. Be heard.
Thank you for your support.
