OK, I lied…I would definitely play a Call of Duty MMO, and probably any half-ass title with Call of Duty slapped on the cover. Activision is merely the shady supplier for my friendly neighborhood crack dealer, Wal-Mart.
But the real question is, does the idea make sense? How on earth do you take a game built on fast action, intense visuals, and immersive storytelling, and expect it to translate well to an MMO?
It’s seven simple concepts, really:
Customizable Avatars. I have a strong desire to play as a female character, just so desperate men will buy me ammunition.
Perk Power. Perks from Modern Warfare should be fully craftable, because a two-grenade martyrdom is just what online gaming needs these days.
Mana. You didn’t expect to win the War on Terror without magic, did you?
Uber Macros. Who the f**k needs to aim, when you can just press Shift+J and get five headshots?
Guilds. Not clans. Sorry.
Turn-Based Action. No different than the previous Call of Duty titles. Turn around, get shot in the back. Repeat.
Orcs. Lots and lots of Orcs. You can’t go wrong with too many Orcs.

I would love to see call of duty with orcs.
The game also needs to be set in a fictional place so no one is offended by war going happening on their doorstep. So the game should just be a first person extension/expansion pack to world of warcraft.

Orcs are exactly what Call of Duty needs. You can never go wrong with an Orc.

That would not work as it would end up being 3 guys pwning everyone over and over again. It would be the infamous Sniper, Healer, Hammerdin (throw back!), combo.

When I first read the original article, I had hoped it was something you had cooked up Lono and fooled a few media outlets with.
I don’t think the idea makes any since at all, much less from a company that just merged with the Goliath known as World of Warcraft.
Anyone ever play Planetside? No thanks.

I played Planetside, and actually thought it was pretty good for its time. It had some intense battles.
Huxley looks good too.

There hasn’t been a good Medal of Honor game since Allied Assault.

The last good MOH game is the new one for Wii- MOH: Heroes II is an average shooter in effort put in, but an awesome shooter because of the zapper controls. 32 player online multiplayer rules too, but voice chat would always be nice.

Yeah, and wouldn’t it be just GREAT if your attack speed and such was in MMORPG fashion. Click …wait till it’s your turn…the gun fires….then the enemy’s gun fires…CLICK…
