The heads over at N4G.com have realized that the majority of their site has been overrun by the PS3 faithful. This outspoken party has reached power by picking fights in any and all articles and humping the competition into the submission. The article written by Matt “Volkov” Schmidt brought to you Bacon Salt, has raised N4G’s collective eyebrows and they decided to do something about it.
Introducing N4G’s Fanboy Wargames!
This Saturday, starting at 2:30pm at the L.A. Colosseum, the two great sides will square off and fight for the amusement of N4G. They’ll chose the top 100 hot headed 360 and PS3 fanboys that post on their site. Most Wii fans are under the age of 18 and it’s illegal for them to be allowed to fight to the death, so they’re out.
Ogre, an N4G spokesperson and Alpha Delta alum, gloated about the event early this morning.
“We’re going to give these nerrrrds swords, shields, and body armor and let them have at it. Hopefully, one side will finally be declared the winner. The time for s*** talking is over! It’s time for action! Bullying someone on the Internet is a lot different that piercing their heart with a sword.
Nerds, Nerds, Nerds, Nerrrrrrrds!”
Finally, we can watch what happens when two uncompromising sides of an issue take their feelings for inanimate objects, to the extreme! It’s time to recognize the fervent fanboys that will give their lives. I just want to note that most of these guys will probably die, right off the bat, from having to lift something heavier than a controller. I’m guessing that the strain will be too much. Just ask the Dual Shock 3 fanboys, or what’s left of them.
The good news is that a week after the slaughter has completed, the bloody melee will be available on pay-per-view.

I will never understand fanboyism. It’s like every time I publicly say that I like the Xbox, some fanboy assumes that I hate the PS3. Seriously, is it THAT unheard of to like all three of the platforms? I do. All of them have different pros and cons, but they’re all good gaming systems. End of story. Jeez… where do they find the energy to debate this for days and days?

Hey I bought a Wii, then got a free PS3 when I got a new TV!
All this really means is that I can play all new awesome PS3 games while still making fun of the system! It’s win-win!
