I’ve yet to listen. However, I shall give my impression just reading the title.

      Ahem.

      What?

Also, why is my reCAPTCHA box asking me to type in $101,402,000? That’s not a word..

Doc has exaggerated the confidence I have in our Call of Duty 4 team. He’s just jealous.

    • 4 ajnokia // Mar 10, 2008 at 1:30 am

Looks like another great episode. Will be listening later today ;)

When are you going to stop forcing Dave to take you out. You’re beating dead horse. I just feel bad for him. I know it’s a standard, and that it has had some great moments, but I seriously think you should spring it on someone else for a change.

    • 7 Doc // Mar 10, 2008 at 5:49 am

      but… then it wouldn’t be…Dave takes us out…. then what’s the point?

    • 8 TempleDog // Mar 10, 2008 at 11:04 am

O.k., I gotta call you guys out. A major drop, the biggest Ninty game this season, and you guys are on about Call of Duty 4 and Army of Two?!? No Brawl love, hell, not even a freakin’ mention, either on this weeks show or even last week. You dudes need to step away from the freakin’ 360 for five seconds and review somethin’ that doesn’t involve shooting things in the first-person perspective.

Having said that, don’t ferget that Condemned 2 drops this week. Later.

I think that they have the right to review what they want to review there TempleDog, it’s not your site.

    • 11 TempleDog // Mar 10, 2008 at 11:49 am

“I think that they have the right to review what they want to review there TempleDog, it’s not your site.”

Childish. They can review whatever they please. But if they want to remain relevant as a game culture site, ignoring major events isn’t exactly helping matters. And the drop of Smash was a major event.

Here’s a bit of Brawl news rife with promise for parody:

    • 13 Doc // Mar 10, 2008 at 12:39 pm

      Temple…..

      Holy Jesus. Thanks.

Oh and we didnt talk about Brawl because none of us have a nintendo wii. It’s inthe cards but there are higher priorities for us. Sorry to disappoint.

    • 14 VinDali // Mar 10, 2008 at 12:49 pm

      They did discuss Patapon though.
      That’s not a FPS on the 360.

SarcasticGamer does not equal SarcasticCasualAudience….thats the next site over…

A thing about the talk about how a CoD4 mmo it could be like stalker for PC. that is and option for a first person shooter mmo.

    • 19 Lono // Mar 10, 2008 at 4:12 pm

@Temple Dog: I could care less about Super Smash Brothers. It doesn’t interest me in the slightest.

    • 20 Doc // Mar 10, 2008 at 4:53 pm

It DID interest me until I saw the TV commercial… Then I was like… oh THAT’s it… meh

Not a Nintendo thing… just a game that doesn’t really intrigue me much.

    • 21 RK1 WhiteKnight // Mar 10, 2008 at 8:35 pm

Hey Doc, Have you tried the live arcade game called Rez. From your description of patapon it sounds like you might enjoy it. It originally came out on the PS1 but they’ve remade it in HD for the 360

    • 22 Doc // Mar 10, 2008 at 8:40 pm

Have in my PLAY CUE right now… just haven’t been able to peel out of Frontlines long enough to try it… I am addicted I guess…. I’ll give er a shot tonight!

I’ve gotta say, I’m with Temple Dog here. To not even mention the Brawl launch shows that you’re not really a gaming news site, you’re a 360 site with a little bit of PS news thrown in. Talking about handhelds in general without mentioning the DS is also short sighted. With the 360/PS3/Wii, you could at least have your viewpoint that there’s more shovelware/casual-centric product on the Wii, with a lack of AAA titles (trying hard to ignore Zelda/Galaxy/Metroid/Zak & Wiki/SSBB etc) . But the DS really outshines the PSP in the number of quality titles it has, and especially so regarding the subject matter. With a couple of exceptions, the PSP games are pretty much pared down versions of what you’d find on the PS2, but the DS games (the ones I’m talking about - not Poniez and My Dolphin or whatever crap they push out for ‘the kids’) are truly unique, and in the most part, better than the vast majority of PSP games. Talking about whether or not your handheld games differ from your console games can’t really be talked about in any depth without talking about the DS at all.
      My 2 cents.

    • 24 RobLink // Mar 11, 2008 at 3:55 pm

btw, XBL tag is RobLink. If anyone wanted to talk about stuff like this without having to type it up every time, feel free to add me.

    • 25 Lono // Mar 11, 2008 at 4:24 pm

You’ve never played a game on the PSP and it shows RobLink. I don’t own a DS. I don’t own a Wii. We talk about what we want, not what people THINK we should talk about. But I appreciate your opinions, even if I don’t agree with them.

    • 26 RobLink // Mar 11, 2008 at 4:29 pm

That’s fair, it’s what free speech is all about. :-) For the record, I have played PSP games (the ‘meh’ ones), but I am itching to get one for Locoroco, Patapon and God of War.
