Ever wanted to get your World of Warcraft fix, but didn’t want to sit down in front of your computer, or deal with those silly trading cards? Well, Upper Deck Entertainment has the answer to your woes.Find out how to take your addiction even further after the jump!
Last Thursday it was announced that a new World of Warcraft miniatures game would be hitting the market, later this Fall. While crack addicted fanboys creamed their collective pants with excitement, they realized that they wouldn’t be able to play with the figures online, but would actually have to interact with real people…
If you can bring yourself to leave your nicely molded office chair, according to WoWminis.com, you’ll be able to raid, quest, and battle with tiny figures of Warcraft Lore, such as Warchief Thrall and the legendary Leeroy Jenkins. If you can find other people to venture out into the daylight, you’ll be able to party together with up to five characters from the Alliance, Horde, or even the Monster factions to take on another player, or even conquer Onyxia’s Lair!
Yes that was an unnecessary exclamation point. Sorry.
Anyway, when this baby finally hits stores, you’ll be able to purchase these fine little figures in a fixed two-player starter set, a randomized deluxe starter kit, or you can plop down for a giant sized Onyxia Raid Set that allows you to go against an automated Onyxia or command the Black Dragon yourself against your friends. Assuming you have any.
That’s all I know right now. I do know that I and many fellow WoW players are on the edge of their seats, waiting for the next batch of info to be leaked. All joking aside, the miniatures do look awesome and will likely please any fan of the lore.
Who wouldn’t want a black metal dragon sitting next to their computer screen?
Now, I just have to go get some covers for my couch, I don’t want to be losing any Gnomes in there.
