Since the guys are going to be spoiling Mass Effect for you on Friday, it’s time for you to finish the game.

Strap on your favorite assault rifle and charge up your biotics, it’s time to take the jump.

There’s alot to go over, and only so much space, so let’s dive right into it.

It takes at least 3 play-throughs of Mass Effect to unlock that 1000 gamerscore, and a lot of planning on the player’s part as to which achievements you want to go after in which difficulty. Here are some tips to make the decision easier.

*Pick a specialist class - Soldier, Adept, or Engineer. You can do many things with the combined classes, but you won’t be getting all the achievements. Choosing a mixed class means you won’t be able to use every ability for the set number of times. During battle, make sure to use the weapons or abilities you need achievements for constantly.

*Choose your party carefully - Depending on the class you choose, select your party mates to best balance the skills. In order to get the party achievements, you’ll need to stick with your choices for a good majority of the game. Note, in order to get the Asari Ally achievement, you’ll need to get her in your party asap, before doing anything else.

*Sell, Sell, Sell - Any time you’re near a store, equip the best equipment to your party, and sell everything else. This is the quickest way to the Rich achievement, and will keep your inventory clean for better stuff.

*Renegade or Paragon? - If you’re choosing to go paragon, you won’t have much trouble getting quests. However, certain renegade dialogue choices in the game can leave you to never be able to do a side quest. I suggest using the neutral choice when someone is asking you for help if you’re going renegade. In order to get the Charismatic achievement, I suggest filling your charm or intimidate skill as soon as you can.

I’d also say to make your party use their powers actively in the options menu, you might think that you’ll use them when you need them but the party do soo much more damage by themselves theres no point keeping control.

It really helps for the hardest difficulty where every enemy is hard as nails.

Listen to the guide, I did Noveria first…and Im still kicking myself because I had to restart my game 10 hours into it.

Just curious, why Noveria last? I just completed Noveria first (of course). Is the suffering during Noveria or after? …just want to know if it’s time to restart :(

      Missile Launcher?!?!

Im on my third play through, and I didn’t even know it existed. Until now.

Good guide. I’m playing it to try out the classes, not really for the Gamerpoints. My first two runs were with an infiltrator. Now I went as Adept, and hell, biotics are a LOT of fun.

Well, I didn’t wait on Noveria, and I came out of it just fine… Then again, I was running on Normal, but it wasn’t that bad.

If you rush to Noveria, you won’t be high enough level to complete the final part there. The game attempts to push you there first thing.
With certain classes, you can get there and not have much trouble at low levels, with others you may be retrying the same spot upwards of 50 times. That isn’t an exaggeration.

I did noveria first (only because on the tralier, the Normandy VI said “Incoming transmission from noveria”.) It took me hours too long to get through, but I did it. Made the rest of the game easier if you can just punch through

O.K. Is the rocket Launcher a soldier only weapon? Or are you referring to the maxed out shotgun ability?

The rocket laucher isn’t a weapon for infantry, it’s on the MAKO. Fire it by pressing the right bumper.
