Anamathias has been punked by one of EGM’s famous April Fool’s jokes. While our first instinct was to pull the article…. We thought it might be more fun to let you roast him publicly. So here’s the article as it was presented by Anamathias. -Doc
Game Ideas Officially Bankrupt.
It was announced in the latest issue of EGM that Bungie’s pride and joy, Halo, will be getting the Lego treatment this fall. Following the success of Lego Star Wars, Lego Halo will allow you to venture again through the Halo universe, only now Master Chief will be cuter than the Grunts.
Featuring the same 2-player, jump-in, jump-out co-op as Lego Star Wars, you’ll find yourself controlling plenty of characters from the 3 Halo games, and maybe even some new ones.Senior Project Lead Lee Carlton elaborates, “In one bonus mission, Master Chief will be battling the Covenant with Burt-041, the brother of Kurt-051 from the Halo: Ghosts of Onyx Novel.”
I expect to see some playable Flood blocks as well, though I wonder how they would look as legos.
While 90 percent of the game will feature the same top-down gameplay as its Lego brethren, Carlton hints that the other 10 percent may feature a Lego-ized First Person experience. What can be easier than going from Halo 3, to making levels in a game just like it with 85 percent less textures?
The bastardization continues.
Lego Halo looks like it will be a hit, building on top of the success of both Halo 3 and Lego Star Wars. Hopefully this one will feature its own soft drink, I miss my Game Fuel.

This actually seems like a good idea. Yeah I know let my flaming begin for thinking outside the box.
But before you do that really think about. Its Halo but Lego style.. Now everyone can enjoy Halo with family and freinds….cause I know my GF loves Halo but she can barely tell the difference between the hammer and the sword.

I have mixed ideas on this, it really seems like there just trying to milk halo even more, but then again assumeing it’s being made by the LSW people they do have a pretty good rep for decent games.

The “article” is real, the “article in the magazine” is real, and it’s true “non-fiction” that it’s being reported, but Lego Halo is _not_ real.

Hey, if it was real I’d buy it. After all, it might be more fun than the original games. After 3 sequels this could have actually added something new to the game that Halo has failed to add. Yeah, I’m a COD4 fanboy. But I do like the Star Wars lego games. They’re fun. So, why not do it? LucasArts and Bungie need to talk.
