Gamers partial to Call of Duty 4’s online experience across the PlayStation Network and XBox Live have not so much stumbled upon, but taken to heart (literally), the ‘Mighty Hand of Zelthlon’. Zethlon’s origin is quite unknown, but thousands of gamers have filed just as many complaints about this new and unprecedented danger.

The complaints indicate that after being stabbed in the back in-game, gamers’ TV sets are screaming out ‘You have been stabbed by the mighty hand of Zethlon!’, regardless of whether their headset is connected, or not.

One long-time Call of Duty fan had this to say during a game of Search and Destroy -
“Hey, Zethlon, if you’re out there, you won’t touch me ever! I’m gonna hunt you down and kick your fu- “- and was henceforth unavailable for comment.

Friends of the player, whose name has been withheld to protect his identity, told reporters that he’s been crying in the corner of his bathroom for four days, since his voice was dramatically cut-off over XBox Live.

Representatives from Infinity Ward, Activision, Microsoft and Sony have all declined comment on this apparently growing issue that has sparked anger and confusion in so many gamers.

CoD4 fans will have to exercise severe caution when battling online until some official word comes.

Until then, keep safe and stay sharp and BEWARE OF THE MIGHTY HAND OF ZETHLON!
