Hardcore Gaming Rig vs. NDS Lite

Fighting my way through Call of Duty 4’s photorealistic environments, loaded with real-time physics and award winning audio, only one thought occupied my mind: God I wish I had a Nintendo DS.

So I dropped $130 on it, only to be severely disappointed. It doesn’t even compare to my gaming rig:

These cheap Japanese jewelry boxes simply cannot compete on a global scale.

If it weren’t for Pokemon, the Nintendo DS would be the catastrophic failure left-handed gamers hoped it would be.

harpie, this is a joke….. no one in their right mind could compare the two. I have a DS and a gaming rig and I love both.

To hell with you, you have never played any decent Games on the DS. Most notably Metroid prime hunters. It is an awesome online expericne and possibly the greatest FPS of all time:

      IGN:9/10
      http://uk.ds.ign.com/objects/682/682835.html

      Metacritic: 85/100
      http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/ds/metroidprimehunters?q=metroid%20prime%20hunters

      Gamespot: 8.6/10

Comparing a nex-gen hardcore consoles game to its handheld botchjob counterpart is as stupid as comparing the gamecube and a PS3.

The DS is in no way a wast eof money and has a huge library of games to cater for M(Resident evil, dementium the ward) all the way down to E.

Any one who thinks other wise is either a fanboy, stupid or both ;)

Also judging a console on one game is like judging the xbox 360 on shadow run or beautifull katamari.

“Super-Charged Intel 24.5 GHz 65-core processor”, ya i got mine in the mail, do you have yours yet. :D lol!!!

Yeah, how you could compare those two?Every one knows nintendo isnt for graphics and power. They have new ways to play and other innovative game play. Souch as the Wii-mote, and the dual screen, one being touchscreen. By the way, I think some good games to get are: Metroid Prime Hunters, Brain Age, and um…

Hey now, I actually did buy a DS, and I actually do love it. 15 hours logged onto Pokemon in 2 days dude.

What game should I get next?

      GIGGLE
      Nice Post
I had a ds but then i sold it for a psp slim
and having 4gig of movies, music, games, demos as well as gta and beats makes the psp far superior

    • 13 Abucket // Feb 5, 2008 at 4:30 pm

BRAIN AGE!!! You will get smart then, you wont have to compare a computer to a DS. XD
      Maybe you were being sarcastic…

    • 14 Wii60ftw // Feb 5, 2008 at 6:16 pm

All the data for DS is actually saved on the cartridge.

    • 15 Matt "Volkov" Schmidt // Feb 5, 2008 at 6:40 pm

That’s why its “pretend” flash memory.

    • 16 Chuck Norris // Feb 5, 2008 at 7:02 pm

24.5 GHz?? Ours is only 3, then I realized that she was joking.

    • 17 Marcel // Feb 5, 2008 at 9:30 pm

damn your cpu need 64 cores to get 24,5 ghz??? dude they ripped you off that should be possible with 12 XD

    • 18 Sean // Feb 5, 2008 at 9:34 pm

uuuh…the ds sucks cause it doesn’t enable left handed use…it can go join bush in things ill never look at again

    • 19 ummm, Yeah... // Feb 6, 2008 at 12:09 am

Wait, wait, wait. Did he just compare and Intel Processer to a DS? And complain?? WTF?? You can’t go comparing a desktop computer to a handheld system! At least you can’t do it and complain about how the handheld is worse! Obviously a mouse wouldn’t be on the list of needs for a handheld system. But, I’m sure this article is joke, so I’ll calm down.

Besides, if you bought one, Nintendo wins anyway.

BTW Volkov, get pretty much any game with Mario in it, sans Mario Party. They really did go all the way with the Mario games on the DS. Also, Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword is supposed to be really good. It comes out in March.

    • 20 Mallico // Feb 6, 2008 at 1:15 am

@Matt you should try Phoenix Wright, you’ll either love it or completely hate it. There’s a really good tactical game called Advance Wars: Days of Ruin that just came out recently. Mario Kart, Zelda, FFXII Revenant Wings, and Megaman Starforce.

Funny article by the way. XD

    • 21 Maul // Feb 6, 2008 at 1:55 am

“That’s why its “pretend” flash memory.”

It actually has built in memory so it can download demos from the Wii or other games from other DS.

Where did you get your $0.20 stylus? I’ve not found them for under $6 per 3-pack.

    • 23 Lono // Feb 6, 2008 at 3:07 pm

Hey guys, in case you didn’t know, his article was a parody. It’s fake. It’s supposed to be FUNNY. Good Lord.

    • 24 Cube // Feb 7, 2008 at 6:11 pm

I got one for yoshi touch and go when it launched and was shocked at the false title.

I did no touching or going of Yoshi and that is why I bought the game.

Not touching Yoshi on my DS was a total let down.

    • 25 egotec // Mar 3, 2008 at 10:21 am

      @Randy:
Do you really think Nintendo pays $ 2,- for a stylus?

      @Marcel:
With a 2,4GHZ quadcore cpu for example, has four core’s, that have a clockspeed of 2,4GHZ per core and it’s not a 9,6GHZ cpu. That’s like saying I have two cars with a top speed of 250km/u, so if I connect them to eachother I could drive 500km/u.

      @The article:
There is Pokemon for a PC, at least via an emulator. And Intel doesn’t sell a 24,5GHZ 65 core cpu.

      egotec is retarded.
