Have you ever been sitting at home and seen a commercial that tells you to come to Las Vegas? Ever wonder what all the fuss is about, but never could afford the trip? There’s good news, $60 will soon get you the whole experience without the debt or VD.

Sweet.

Midway has announced that, Surreal, an internal developer, is working on This Is Vegas. It’s scheduled to come out in the Winter of 2008 for the 360, PC, and PS3. Looks like you’ll be able to get that “full Vegas experience” of drunken weddings by Elvis impersonators, going bankrupt at the poker tables, and cheap buffets. Well, it appears partially true.

“We are thrilled to be unveiling the first-ever video game experience which allows players to live out their wildest Vegas fantasies,” said Alan Patmore, studio head, Surreal. “Whether it’s partying in the hottest night clubs, racing in underground circuits, testing your luck at the tables or getting into a barroom brawl, This is Vegas has it all.”

The story revolves around you trying to stop a powerful businessman from turning Vegas into a family-friendly tourist trap. You must start your own sinful empire and resurrect various formerly famous adult playgrounds. Party hard at the hottest clubs to make VIP connections(I wonder if Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan will be all coked up in the VIP), gamble, street race, fight for your right to party (with fisticuffs and guns). Your job is to put the sin back in Sin City. Can you defile yourself enough to make it happen?

Sounds like a normal week in Vegas to me. Why don’t they advertise this in the commercials?

Actually, it sounds like Grand Theft Auto: Las Vegas to me…
