After another week of being the number one played game on XBL and Call of Duty 4 riding high on the hog, the game is about to get better. Rumors are circulating that the oft-publicized, romanticized and hypothesized Patch will be out…
before the weekend.
Infinity Ward Community Manager, Robert Bowling, has stated on his blog that the patch is moving smoothly though Microsoft’s approval process.
“I got word that the Xbox 360 Feature patch could be ‘very very close’, I can’t tell you exactly when because they haven’t passed on that information but apparently certification went fantastic and I was given the Green light to take care of some things that I have to do before it goes live to you guys, which means good things.”
This is great news. You may hate some of the changes they are making, but there has to be at least one that you like, if not love. Bowling also had some good news for those of you that play CoD4 on the PS3.
“The Ps3 Feature Patch has officially made it’s way off to Sony and has been going through the certification process, this one should be a rather quick turnaround hopefully so I’m not expecting too much delay on this at all.”
That is great news for you guys. I’m sure the mute feature won’t be as popular as it is on XBL.
He also said that the DLC maps are coming along smoothly. He promises that there will be screenshots soon. I can’t wait to download those babies.

I’m not going to need the quick mute feature, just like I don’t need it for halo. I block all mic communications unless their from my friends. Its good if you play with friends a lot like me. Saves me muting 11 people before each game.
Still awesome that they added it

I’m curious to see the new ACOG. I wonder if it’s … um … useful.
