Call of Duty 4 DLC is coming to PSN and XBL this spring.
Check out all the details directly from Charlie Oscar Delta, after the jump!
I received this message directly from their website, which is only accessible to registered members:
Activision and Infinity Ward report that new global conflicts are planned in the form of downloadable multiplayer maps for the award-winning Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. In development for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the upcoming downloadable content will thrust gamers into a hot zone of added combat across a variety of intense multiplayer locales.
“We’ve demonstrated our commitment to delivering the best multiplayer experience in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and that continues with our plans for new downloadable content,” explains Infinity Ward’s Community Manager, Robert Bowling aka Fourzerotwo. “We’re excited about the new maps, and the added gameplay variety, and we can’t wait to wrap things up and get online with everyone.”
The new downloadable content is scheduled for release this spring, and will be available on Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network.”
There have been rumors circulating that as many as 9 new maps, along with level cap increases would be included in the upcoming downloadable content. It would be great, although highly unlikely that new weapons would be included as well.
Just what a gamer needs to prolong his or her addiction to Call of Duty 4.
Bastards… Kidding. Hurry up though.

Great! Even though there are many maps in Call of Duty 4 by default and they are really well done, one can get bored of them eventually. Can’t wait for the DLC to come out.

Thank. Freakin’. God. Don’t get me wrong, though, the current maps are excellent. But I don’t think I’m alone when I say that most of us have already put some serious mileage on them (long enough for certain idiot gamers out there to find and exploit every glitch they find.) The new DLC will bring a fresh challenge that I think many of us have been waiting for. On a different note, (not that this would ever happen) if they don’t end up removing Last Stand as a perk, if would be pretty cool to at least make it more realistic of a perk. Who the hell has perfectly steady aim and accuracy after getting shot to the point where you can’t even stand up? And don’t even get me started on Martyrdom…

I never understood adding levels with no reward, that is lame, I am not doing prestige because it has no end benefit, why would I work for more nothing?
I want to see some new guns/attachements
or maybe allow customization of the items, like using the steel red dot sight from the M4 in the campaign, and gun modes, like an auto G3

this will be an awesome update, but anybody who has friends or family wanting to play with them at the same time wants an even better update, something that will allow u to have guests during online play

call of duty is awesome but…there should be more games like it with more people available…the maps can hold more than it allows…there should be games with huge armies

cod4 should be more realistic when it comes to creating your weaoon. i have an ar-15 (in real life) which is the same as cod4’s M4. you should be able to have more than just one attachment. For example, you could have an M4 with a silencer, red dot sight, and a grenade launcher because they all fit on different parts of the gun. This would be more realistic than being limited to only one attachment.
Also, you should be allowed to have a guest while playing on Live. And i agree with patches, we need those too

I will be glad if a patch comes out to fix the glitches that so many of the players are starting to use. I dont see the point in playing a game if your going to cheat? What is the point?
