That’s right sports fans or whatever Snake fans are called, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of Patriots has finally been locked in, in a huge way. Step back and put on a helmet, this will blow your mind.
In leaked news, MGS4 will be on store shelves on June 12. This is coming from a retailer’s only conference, for all things PS3. Finally, a date that can live in infamy. A date. A finality. Now all we have to do is wait.
That is, unless it gets delayed again. AArrrgghhh…. Stupid waiting.
In other news, it has been confirmed that there will be a PS3 MGS4 bundle. It’ll be $499. For that price you get the game, the 80gb system, and a Dual Shock controller. It’s scheduled to come out on June 15th.
I guess they are giving those with PS3’s time to play the game and tell their friends before the bundle appears on store shelves. This should give Sony a sales boost, not the Halo effect, but I’m sure they’ll take what they can get.

this is bloody good new and as it happens only 4 days after my birthday i can probably get away without having to pay for it!!!
I may pick the bundle up. I plan to get a PS3 eventually, and I do have my $600 tax rebate check coming…

Was it ever actually confirmed for the 360 or was it all speculation, i got so bored with it that i dropped out of the loop.
Also, I personally don’t want to see this hit the 360, not because I don’t want 360 pwners to be able to play it but rather because Sony really needs these exclusives and it would be much better if they kept them.

I just bought i PS3 yesterday, for 400 bucks i got 40 gigs no rumble and no hi def cable’s. I might take it back and buy one of these instead, thus contribute to the Halo Effect

This amazing super awesome game will and should never be ported to 360. not only does the 360 not have enoough capacity, but the whole game is completely designed for the ps3. sorry to say all you unfortunate 360 fans will have to change consoles if you want this. if in the eventuality, it does get ported then you will be looking at a 6 disk 360 game minumum. this is the time when sony can show off the kit. yeee-haaa i am so glad i have a ps3, got my copy on order with a dual shock, and wow they are like half the weight of a 360 controller.
