A Golden Opportunity

Xbox Live brings gamers together so they can play cards, fight, shoot at each other, or even race against each other. The one drawback is that you have to pay.

Well, I’ve got a steal of a deal that will net you another 13 glorious months of gold coverage, after the jump.

There are those that complain about paying $49.99 for 13 months of Xbox Live. I think $4 a month is a small price to pay for the services they offer and I love to pinch my few pennies when I can.

The initial price barrier may have kept many a Xbox owner from getting on XBL. Now, there’s something that could increase the already huge number of players.

Buy.com has had this deal for a while, in case you didn’t know about it, here it is. They’re charging $38.75 for 13 months of XBL. That comes out to $2.98 per month, yeah, it’s a steal.  The best part of it is the shipping is free. Can’t beat that.

So put that one pack of cigarettes away.  Drink one less Red Bull Tall Boy a month.  Drink one less beer on Monday Karaoke Night. Do one less load of laundry.

No, wait a minute, don’t skip the laundry…

Anyway, there’s a lot of ways to save up that dough.

FYI, we don’t get anything if you go there and we don’t gain anything from you purchasing anything from the site. We’re just trying to save you a few bucks. So those veterans, silver members and nonmembers out there, why not give it a shot?

Click here if you want to take the plunge, or if it’s about time to renew.

I was about to get amped up because of the subject title, but yeah, this “deal” has been making the rounds for awhile.

Footnote … as if I had to tell ya, this applies to US residents only. Buy.com won’t ship to Canada or overseas.

the psn is a far nicer environment in my experience
there are far too many illiterate, intolerant children on XBL

well there r advantages and disadvantages with both online services. true xbl has ALOT more DLC but when it comes down 2 it psn has ALOT less lag thanks 2 their dedicated servers. However this is starting 2 change XBL might start switching 2 dedicated servers which is hinted at all the stuff u can do in frontlines and 32 player online (i personally think of frontlines as 360s warhawk) and the ps3 is probably going to get alot of DLC with the release of home. however highest amount of players on xbox live currently: 32, on psn 40 going 2 be on psn 60
