While Blu-Ray made a huge comeback this week, the ramifications of a Blu-Ray win for Sony hit a little closer to home for one man. Harvey Bickelstein, former Head of the Sony Party Planning Committee for Sony Computer Entertainment of America, was informed on Tuesday that his services may FINALLY be needed. Harvey, who has spent his last 20 years on paid leave from Sony was surprised to receive the call.

“I haven’t heard from Sony in 25 years. After all that party planning I did to celebrate the big Betamax win fell through, I never thought I’d hear from Sony again.”

Harvey believed that he would get the call about seven years ago when mini-discs were introduced by Sony, but that phone call never materialized.

“Well at least I know what to do with all of these left over mini-discs…. ” Harvey said with great anticipation, “Coasters!”
