Who didn’t love Goldeneye 007 for the N64? The James Bond brand, the weapons, the duel wielding, and of course the four player, customizable deathmatch. It was the first great, first person shooter on a console. The sole reason that I had to have a N64.

And now it’s coming, with updated graphics to the…

After the jump!

Rumor has it that Rare will be releasing a number of properties on the Xbox 360, and specifically on Xbox Live Arcade. With regard to the Goldeneye 007 rumor, Xbox Evolved reports that Goldeneye will be ported over with updated graphics (Goldeneye Source?) and will include an all new online multiplayer mode over Xbox Live.

Hell yeah!

They also claimed that Perfect Dark and Banjo Kazooie are coming to XBLA. More hautness!

I can’t wait for some awesome proximity mine action on Xbox Live. Here’s to dual wielded M16’s and Men with Golden Guns!

Wait… that didn’t come out right…

How bout… I can’t wait to see Baron Samed’s Top Hat in HD?

You know what I mean…

This is good news, Ive gotten as far as I want to in COD4 and I can’t stand Halo so the multiplayer will be the biggest attractor to me.

Also, if Perfect Dark comes out we can see how the franchise is supposed to be treated, not the farce that was PDZ.

yeah, I’m pretty stoked for this.

This news is better than being Rick Rolled!

I just hope they don’t have a broken online like most xbla games….

If you want a picture of XBLA online done well, look no further than Worms. Yes, it had easy to use matchmaking, free for all and team games, even Multiplayer only achievements.

I hear Undertow did it well too, but I wouldnt know from firsthand experience, never got around to it.

This shows that someone over there listens to the podcast. I asked for Golden Eye on XBL a while back.

      But if i remember correctly
there has been a rumor shortly after this one came up

that Golden Eye was Canned at the last minute
      but with the reasons unknown
and some people claiming it was nintendo’s fault

but either one could be true or false

I hope what White_hell is saying is misinformed, I would love to play this game on the 360.

I never thought this game was that great. I only rented it a bunch of time since what else could you do with your n64 after mario for months? Nothing

And Perfect dark/zero is better and compared to Quake or any FPS on pc at the time golden eye was and still is not the slightist bit impressive or fun. The AI is dumb as rocks is one of it’s many problems.

I wonder what nintendo is doing about it…

If they can do anything that is..
