The gaming world was shocked this morning as Konami announced that it would be releasing Metal Gear Solid 4 on the Wii, on the same day as the PS3 release. The stores have been overflowing with pre-orders for the hot title since the announcement in what may turn out to eclipse Halo 3’s pre-order record several times over.

Pete Giver, a Konami spokesperson, made this brief statement:
“We are sick and tired of all the rumors that the 360 was going to get MGS4. You’re not getting it on the 360, so move on with your lives. We also figured out our target demo is stay-at-home mothers. We know they’re craving Snake.”
Mother of three, Sarah Wood, confirmed it.
“I am so excited. It’s been years since I’ve had some Solid Snake. I just can’t wait to get my hands on it.”
The days leading up the the release are guaranteed to be a wild ride, but this isn’t completely out of left field. Everyone knows moms LOVE older men.

I forgot it was friday when I read this. I was in shock, I don’t like MGS, but I was like “wow, on the wii this has to be-” Then I remembered it was Friday.
I cannot believe that anyone would have believed this for a millisecond…

It’s true! i was just watching x-play and it was talking about japans best selling games for wii and the number one game was MGS4 for wii!
