On the first day of the new year, Times Square is covered in garbage from the previous night and rumors of Konami bringing MGS4 to the 360 arose once again. The chance that 360 users would only have to test their patience and not their wallets to play this installment of the hit series is enough to make people believe in it. Maybe if we clap and Konami hears it, they will make it happen.

Looks like MGS4 ain’t coming to the 360.
Konami reacted quickly to the MSG4 gossip by saying, “For the record, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is a PlayStation 3 exclusive and there are no plans to develop an Xbox 360 version of the game.”
Damn.
In one sentence they crushed the hopes of thousands, nay, millions of people. Too bad for them that the rumors will continue. I don’t think it will stop anytime soon. Long after the release on the PS3 we will hear the whispers, “it’s coming.”
The dream will live!
Then we enter a different realm. There will be many “unidentified” sources that will be quoted as saying the team building MGS4 for the 360 does exist. People will camp outside Konami HQ so they can catch a glimpse of this elusive team.
Thousands of blurry pictures and tales of sightings will pop up all over the Internet. They will say that Konami is hiding it from Mr. and Mrs. John Q Public for some sinister reason. This will feed the fire and bring a fragment of hope back. People will dedicate thousands of man hours to find the cover up. Lives will be wasted and virginity will remain forever intact. This brings us to the next two definitions.
Conspiracy Theory – A theory seeking to explain a disputed case, or matter as a plot by a secret group, or alliance rather than an individual, or isolated act.
Obsession – The domination of one’s thoughts, or feelings by a persistent idea, image, desire, etc.
Neither of which are healthy. Go out and enjoy your life, if MGS4 is going to come to another platform the news will be on Sarcastic Gamer. Don’t waste your life chasing UFO’s, let us waste ours.

Wait a minute, NOW you’ll believe Konami?! You didn’t believe them the _last_ time they said it wasn’t coming to the 360 and it was a PS3 exclusive?
I need a rulebook or something… 2nd time’s a charm? Or is it really the third, I lost track once people started ignoring blatant statements directly from the source…
And I love how the latest rumor said 12-14 months after the PS3 release it’ll be on the 360. Exactly how relevant of a game will it be “FOURTEEN MONTHS” later? While I don’t think Kojima will knock out another MGS game (he’s claiming this is his last) but most other devs could knock out an entirely new game in 14 months… that’s a LONG time. Sufficiently long to keep the flame of this rumor alive _long_ after it really matters. *sigh*
Anybody other than me really not care about this game at all?

Thank you! I’ve never enjoyed the MGS series. I wish people would just shutup about a multi-console release. If it happens, it happens. If not, there are plenty of other great games to play if you don’t own a PS3.
i dont care either 360 need to get it into thier heads that its PS3 exclusive
like PS owners need to get it into thier head that BioShock is 360 exclusive
But BioShock is coming to the PS3…

Yeah. I would have at least rented it had it come to the 360, but I really am not too terribly broken up over it.
I recall seeing the MP trailer for this game, and thinking “eh, so?”
Originally the multiplayer was a completely separate title. The single player shouldn’t be judged by what you saw of the multiplayer trailer.
I’m impressed by the footage I’ve seen but I don’t think I’ll be buying it. I played and loved “Metal Gear Solid” on the PSOne but couldn’t get into any of the rest.
Being the only person I know to have beat MGS 3 on european elite and who owns a 360 I’ll be holding the torch for as long as it takes.
well tbh, people who still go, “its coming” even though konami have said quite a few times, and the developer has said once that its solely for the ps3, are just stoopid, if you want to play it that badly, get a ps3! i myself cant wait and will probs import it as i cant wait an extra few months for it here in england
two things
1st, someone will hack the 360 and MGS4 so it can play on the 360
2nd, these guys hored out snake to ssb brawl so in the future its a possibility

Well metal gear was originally a NES game, so I don’t think they “hored” him, he’s just coming home to visit mom and dad.

I mean, really. Hiding under a box was played out to me even then.
I just want it on the 360 because its all PS3 has besides killzone…
heh. So many pitiful x360 fanboys. You fat americans don’t learn, do you? No wonder X360 sales suck in Japan. That’s beacause people there have brains, instead of fat. Just play your god damn halo and fill M$’s pockets with money for an online service, while the considerable part of the world has fun with MGS4.
