HD-DVD is taking a beating this week.  Everybody is pulling it’s support like its the Titanic.  For all of you that still have an HD-DVD player, as long as they make ‘em, I’ll keep posting about ‘em.

I know, i’m a glutton for punishment.

Your HD-DVD releases for the week of January 7, 2008 after the jump.

Zodiac: 2 Disc Directors Cut - Jake Gyllenhaal takes a break from playing cowboy in the mountains to help track down the infamous Zodiac killer. Maybe the director put an ending on this cut that the first was lacking.

Mobsters - Christian Slater plays Lucky Luciano in this awful Mobster flick. If Lucky was alive he would have killed everyone involved with the making of this movie for making him look like Christian Slater.

The Pianist - The story of Jewish pianist, Wladyslaw Szpilman, and his story of survival during World War II. Can’t really say anything funny about that.

White Noise - Michael Keaton stares at a snowy TV set and talks to people. It’s like Poltergiest…only not as good. Where the hell has Michael Keaton been?

White Nose 2: The Light - Same movie, but this guy doesn’t need a TV. Oh, and No Michael Keaton.

I have to declare Blu-Ray the winner this week because they brought 3:10 To Yuma and The Rock. For the most part both sides just seemed to be throwing out titles this week. Hopefully, next week will be better. Come back for our continuing coverage of the war to be the ruler of Hi-Def.

      Mobsters??
I would not think anyone ever bought it on VHS let alone needing it in HD.
