IOU.jpgNot to be outdone by Nintendo’s gracious offer of selling IOUs for their impossible to find systems, Sony Computer Entertainment of America’s CEO Jack Tretton has announced Sony will effective immediately begin selling $60 IOUs for unspecified upcoming (and compelling) PS3-exclusive games through Gamestop as well.

While Nintendo’s promise of delivery by the end of January is a nice and concise promise, Tretton wasn’t as clear about exactly when they would be delivering on the PS3 exclusives with the term “at some point within the 10 year plan” being mentioned.

Excited by the news, several PS3 fans reported lined up to purchase 10 IOUs each. When polled for their reaction to the offer, one customer said “I’ve already spent $600 on the promise of amazing next-gen gaming from Sony, what’s another $600?”
