Sarcastic Gamer News Bulletin: Lono’s Trapped!

Lono Surface…

We’ve received reports that Microsoft’s invitation to have Doc and Lono see Microsoft Surface first hand, was nothing more than a ploy to coerce Doc into writing a new song praising the very product he mocked in a parody commercial earlier this year.

While details are sketchy at this point, we know upon arrival at the Microsoft campus that Doc and Lono were immediately escorted into different isolation locations.

Doc was reportedly handed a pencil a pad of paper and asked to write a “catchy new song” singing the praises of Microsoft Surface and touch technology. Reports say Doc stood firm at first, refusing to pander to unproven products or corporate influence, when he realized the table he was at actually was a prototype of the Microsoft Surface product he was promised a demonstration of.

It’s at this point that details of the events seem to have taken a most Wonka-esque turn. Doc was sitting at the rather uninteresting table when an unknown Microsoft employee clapped his hands twice, and a loud scream could be heard down the hallway. Immediately following the scream was dead silence, then a faint tinkling sound as the display faded into view. Lono was being held captive inside the Microsoft Surface unit.

Will Doc write the song and save Lono? Will the song be any good? Will Doc simply cash in Lono’s unused portion of his airline ticket and head to the Cheesecake Factory? We’ll be sure to keep you posted on this and more as the day goes on.

God speed and good writing Doc!

UPDATE: Vote whether you think Doc should save Lono or not right here!
