With the Top 100 Gaming Moments going there is no reason to even mention the releases for HD-DVD this week, but I’ll do it anyway. Here are your HD-DVD releases for December 17, 2007.

Balls Of Fury - Walken Rules!

Stardust - No one cared in theaters and they don’t care now.

Blade Runner Ultimate and Collectors Edition - Someone is making some money off this rererererelease.

That’s Entertainment: The Complete Collection - Eh.

Blu-Ray creamed HD-DVD this week. It wasn’t even close. HD-DVD’s showing was so poor they don’t even get a picture this week. Come back next week to see if the slaughter continues.

      @Dr.gliffbu: What’s the basis of your faith in HD-DVD catching up? And “technically” it’s 66.67 to 33.33 (60:40 isn’t 2:1) ;)

      @jackass (nice name)… no, it _isn’t_…

      For something to sell 2:1 let’s break it down to the most basic example. 3 next-gen movies are sold, 2 on Blu-ray, 1 on HD-DVD. That means 3 discs are 100% of what’s sold. 100 divided by 3 is 33.33 so 33.33% sold was HD-DVD and twice that amount 66.66% (I rounded to 66.67% to get to 100% when added together).

      60:40 is 3:2 (or 1.5:1), not 2:1.

      Sheesh, don’t try to pull the “Oh yes it IS…” stuff with me. While I may not use it as much as I would’ve guessed while still in college, my math degree is still good for something. ;)
