Well, that title is a bit misleading. When I say “a bit” I mean, totally false… Ah well, you’re here now, mind as well read the rest of the article.
Continuing my story from yesterday… When we showed up at Microsoft, they make you fill out your life story before giving you a pass to get in the place. Part of the form asks what you’re there for.
I, of course, wrote “Here to see Bill Gates!” Yeah, that didn’t go over well. Eventually, they let me in the studios, where Doc and I saw the Surface computer, as I discussed yesterday. After lunch, we were lucky enough to meet up with a bunch of other guys who work at Microsoft, but who are also friends of Sarcastic Gamer.
Read the rest, after the jump!
We had lunch at Microsoft with Tom, from the Gamercast Network, Caesar, from the Zune team, and John Porcaro, of the Gamerscore Blog.
Yes, you read that right. We ate lunch at the Microsoft Cafeteria! I know, it’s kind of a big deal. I had tater tots… Oh by the way, there’s coolers around every corner of every fricking building on campus filled with free soda. Free. Soda. I’m glad I brought that extra suitcase. I’m drinking for free for the next month. Wish you were there Dave!
Thanks Microsoft!
Anyway, so after lunch, John took all of us on a tour of the Xbox offices in Redmond. Pretty straight up stuff, lots of offices, halls, and of course, Xbox 360’s… We even got to see where they keep all of those broken Xboxes that are shipped back to Microsoft.
God, that is the biggest building I have ever seen. It’s bigger than my local Costco.
I’m kidding about that last part. John and Tom are going to kill me… but I digress.
So, Doc and I got to meet basically everyone that works for the Xbox side of Microsoft and I’ve got to say, there are some really dang nice people up there. I don’t know if its the water or what, but I was a little taken back by how friggin nice everyone was. I’m used to Doc yelling at me, or Dave attempting to make a joke, or Alex crying over … something, but those guys were really great.
Thanks John, Tom and Caesar for everything. Oh yeah, John, please, please, please send me that Nelson video from the VGA’s!!!! It must make the interwebs. It simply must!
Microsoft has a great bunch of people up there. Thanks for everything guys!
My hands on time with Surface is coming! Soon. Maybe.

Microsoft is a corrupt technological giant that must be ripped down, torn down and destroyed by any and all means necessary to preserve the sanctity of this website.

@NoneOfYourBusiness - you forgot to use the $ in place of the “S” in Microsoft.
Didn’t they teach you that at “I hate big companies because they are big, not for any real reason” school?

I like Microsoft as a PC oriented company. I prefer the old day when it was Nintendo vs Sony. Everyone else just kinda got out of the way.
Also, Xbox makes my angry in general. I dont know why.

NoneOfYourBusiness, it’s obvious you were hurt by Micro$oft as a small child, and now your only way of getting back at them is to senselessly boycott them and reminisce about the “good old days”…you’re starting to sound like an old fart!
