Japanese Kid 360

It was the week ending November 4th and, according to the console sales numbers, the end of the world was upon us. For the first time in the history of the universe, the 360 had outsold the PS3 in Sony’s own backyard.

See what caused the pandemonium after the jump.

So what game brought upon this catastrophic event that not even the release of Halo 3 or Blue Dragon could accomplish? It was a little title by the name of Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation.

Ummm, what?

That’s right, after the millions and millions of dollars that Microsoft has dumped into securing and producing JRPGs that have barely stirred any reaction in Japan, a title not even on the radar comes out of the blue and propels (all three puns intended) the 360 ahead of the PS3.

Luckily for the safety of civilization, the world returned to normal a week later when the PS3 pulled back ahead of the 360. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted, right Microsoft?

Back to selling 5,000 units a week in Japan!

It’s not fun anymore once you side with one player, be it Nintendo, sony, or Microsoft.
