63. Mario Galaxy Gives The Wii Hardcore Hope

The Wii. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on whom you ask, the Wii has dominated sales and gaming news this year. Among the chatter were stories everyday about how Nintendo had abandoned the “hardcore” gamer. Well, Nintendo threw their hardcore fans a bone, called Super Mario Galaxy. Apparently, people like Mario games… Who knew?

Oh, and Nintendo left a little message to their fans on their box art too…

Mario came back with a vengeance. Winning awards and scoring an astonishingly high 97 Metascore on Metacritic, Super Mario Galaxy was last year’s highest reviewed game. Way to go Mario!

Oh and if you connect all of the letters that have stars located on the bottom right, it spells U R MR GAY.

I’m just sayin.
