Halo Game Fuel, Halo Comic Books, Halo 3 Edition of the Xbox 360, it goes on and on. The Hype Machine was in full effect in August and September of 2007. Check out my pictorial review of the Halo 3 crap here. Halo 3 was begging for a parody.

After the Bad Game parody came out, we were struggling to figure out what to parody next. I’d talk to Doc about it daily, but nothing was coming to mind. Then it just hit us.

One day we were talking and I said, “Man, there’s so much hype for Halo 3, if it doesn’t cure cancer, people are going to be pissed…”

Immediately, Doc said, “Yeah, we gotta [make a parody] about Halo.”

Ding, Ding, Ding. And the rest was history.

Halo 3. This game was hyped before the Xbox 360 was even released. Bill Gates himself joked that it would come out on the day the PS3 was released, just to mess with Sony. Halo 2 sold a bajillion copies, so everybody knew the third game, on a next gen console no less, would be off the charts.

This game was begging to be parodied. Hence the Halo 3 Hype Hoedown was born. Check it out here.
