XBLA: Nut Shot!

mixtures-nuts-deluxe-rs_000.jpgMicrosoft has announced another last minute game to celebrate 5 years of online dominance with Xbox Live. The best part about this game is that it is free. I love free things and I think you’ll love this one. It’s called Nut Shot!

The premise of this “Splinter Cell” like game is to sneak into Nintendo and Sony press conferences, undetected, and kick their spokesperson in the fruit basket. Special guest cameos include: Phil Harrison, Reggie Fils-Amie, the two creepy Wii guys, and the recently added Peter Moore.

The game takes you to the biggest convention halls and press rooms that the developers can book. With everyone from fanboys to the beautiful Brian Crecente in the crowd, realism is the key. The graphics are a big factor, as there’s nothing like ringing a PR director’s bells in 1080i.

As your character stalks and eventually Bangkoks these targets, you earn extra points to put toward perks that will enhance your game play. These include “super nut shot,” “fire nut fist,” “cullion crunch,” ”steel toed boots” and many more ball breaking favorites await unlocking.

You’d better be sure that you’re ready and have plenty of perks when you take on the big bosses like Reggie and Phil, as they aren’t like the rest. Reggie, for example, has extra security guards to keep the teeming hordes of Wii fans (and you) away from him. You’ll have to use the ”stampede” perk to your advantage in-order to get near him. If you’re caught you could be pepper sprayed, tasered, or corn-holed. It’s best if you don’t get caught.

Have fun!  I hope you’ll enjoy this free game as much as the lawyers at Sony and Nintendo will.
