Unreal Tournament III Ships into a Flooded Market

November 20th, 2007 · 2 Comments

unreal_tournament_logo2.gifThe long awaited Unreal Tournament III has finally shipped to stores, but unfortunately, it’s just going to get buried in the sea of shooters. I haven’t read anything special about this game that is going to set it apart from today’s popular titles, or even any other fast-paced Quake-style FPS.

It’s semi-embarrassing that Bioshock will probably sell more copies using the engine that was made for UT3, even when the game was released 3 months before. Also rounding the list of Unreal 3 engine games: Rainbow Six: Vegas, Medal of Honor: Airborne, and Gears of War.

Don’t expect to see this on my packed hard drive anytime soon. Gotta save room for more skateboarding dog videos and homemade pornography.

Im not a fan of this games 30fps deal….and since it’s So incredibly fast pace that 30 frame limit could cause some headache. I will stick to COD 4.

I think this game would have more of a chance in February. This is definitely the most chaotic 4th quarter in gaming history…and this game will definitely get lost in the hysteria. Volkov…Metallica said it best….”Sad but true…”
