The Fanboy Bar Has Been Raised.

pissed_sm.jpgSomewhere in Florida a “juvenile” boy took being a fanboy to a whole new level. On Sunday night he was playing Halo 3, I guess on XBL. His parents walked in and informed him that he has had enough for that day and that it was time to turn off the game. He refused, so the parents removed his wireless Internet adapter and hid it, and he went ballistic.

He began searching the house for the card. Somehow, during this search, I guess when his parents tried to calm him down, he punched his mom in the face. After this the parents had enough and instead of beating his little ass like they should have, they called the sheriff’s department.

When the authorities arrived, he locked himself in his room. His mother tried the diplomatic route one more time. She knocked on his door and asked him to come out and talk to the deputies. He responded with profanity and the cops decided to go in.

Upon entering the room, with a key from the parents, the deputies found him ready, willing, and able to resist arrest. He fought the deputies, even managing to hit one of them in the face. Wouldn’t you love to explain that swollen lip to the guys at the station?

They cuffed him, booked him, and now he is going to be tried(as a juvenile) for domestic violence and battery on a law-enforcement officer. I doubt they have Xbox in the detention center.

One good ass whipping could have saved the state and the parents a lot of trouble.

Have any of you so called fanboys ever gone this far? Please let us at Sarcasticgamer know, so we can obtain a proper restraining order.

Awesome. Parents are afraid to discipline their kids anymore.

That kid is going to come home and find out his 360 was sold on eBay.

Ya. Parents fault there. I have been a gamer for years, but even as a kid my parents made sure I had a life outside video games.

Looks like a case of the parents giving in to him instead of listening to him complain.

I’m European, and my little brother,13, had been playing Halo 3 for 13 or so hours. (has been playing minimum 8 hours day since launch day). Anyway, I had early waking next morning so I asked, yes asked, him to stop playing after the Halo round. He said: I just started playing. I said: you’ve been playing quite awhile, now it’s time to go soon. Answer was: F*** I will, I play now. Well I let hgim finish the round and then switched off the X360.
He got pissed. He ran downstairs and told our parents what I did. Parents told him that it really was time to stop for the day.
      He went ballistic!
He started yelling that no f***ing wh*res tell him when to stop playing.
Quess how fast he found himself in his room.
HE EARNED 6 MONTHS OF NO FRIENDS, NO PLAYING, NO COMPUTER AND NO HALO BEFORE AGE OF 18.
I know we went easy on him.

If I had a kid that punched me over playing with his/her 360 I would have hit them with the 360

Yea…that would so not have flown with my parents. There would’ve been no cops involved. I would’ve probably been beaten to whithin an inch of my life. I learned very early on that if my parents said to stop…I stopped.

I remember once playing Punch Out on the NES (on a little orange 13″ black and white TV) and my dad screaming for me from the living room. He came over and yanked out the power cord. He looked at me and said “I KNOW IT HAS A PAUSE BUTTON.” It didn’t. I had to explain to him how not all games were created equal. Eventually we got to the point where if he told me to shut it off…he understood when I said..just let me find a spot to save. :)
