Supreme Commander is back and more massive than ever! The makers of the real-time strategy title (THQ) that has left every RTS gamer screaming for the ability to “zoom out” is back with a new stand-alone expansion; Forged Alliance. It seems this time they even found room for the kitchen sink. A new playable faction, a new campaign, new maps, tons of new units, an overhauled AI, UI and graphics setup. If it just came with fries I’d be in heaven.

While the original Supreme Commander, the much beloved child of the Total Annihilation games, has some the best multiplayer available in the RTS world, it was rather lacking in its single player campaign AI. It also suffered from a lack of diversity between units and factions. Well, no more my friends. Ask and you shall receive. I can attest to the major attention game creator Chris Taylor and his team have paid to the community. Weekly tournaments, quick and responsive patches and updates…and now we have the fruits of all that gamer/developer interaction. A RTS that really looks like it will be all that it can.

Forged Alliance hits stores this week, so get ready to zoom out to take command of all the massive destruction that a dedicated and gamer friendly studio can provide.

Mr. Taylor, I think I wanna have your baby!
