Microsoft has had enough. They’re so tired of being ignored by The Land of the Rising Sun that they’re pulling out all the stops and offering the bundle deal of the century…at 7-Eleven? Yeah, apparently 7-Eleven’s in Japan have large game sections, complete with consoles.
I can just see it now, “Yeah, I’ll take 45 liters of gas, a pack of sushi and…aw, why the heck not, that new Xbox 360 bundle.”
Yeah, they sell sushi at 7-Eleven too… and fish flavored candy.
I’ll never understand that crazy country. Anyway, onto the great deal.
Microsoft is so desperate to get Japanese gamers to adopt their big white box that they will be offering a new bundle starting on December 6th. This bundle will include an Xbox 360, a 20GB hard drive, a wireless controller, the DVD playback remote, AND a brand spankin’ new copy of the highly-anticipated Lost Odyssey!
You’re probably thinking to yourself that this amazing bundle must cost at least $400. Well mister, you’d be wrong! For a limited time only, this bundle will be sold at the unbelievable price of 39,880 Yen! (or $346!)
But wait! There’s more!
Microsoft will also throw in a copy of Forza 2 and Viva Piñata for FREE! That’s right, you get a Premium Xbox 360, a copy of the unreleased Lost Odyssey game, Forza 2, and Viva Piñata, a $500 value, all for the low, low price of $346!
Act now, before they’re gone! 7-Eleven clerks (in Japan) are standing by.
In all seriousness, this is an amazing deal, especially since Lost Odyssey looks to be a great game that Japanese gamers might actually like. Maybe.

So they’re selling Lost Odyssey machines? They might as well brand them that way… if I were in Japan and wanted a 360, I’d wait until a week or two after these bundles hit (giving people enough time to read all the flashbacks, watch all the FMV, and tire of the game before they sell them… then I’d scoop a few up on trade for a tray of sushi or a pack of fish gum.
