In an unprecedented event, I would like to post a rebuttal of sorts.
To myself.
In a recent post, I mentioned the Sci-Fi channel would be airing a special on Mass Effect in their Sci vs. Fi series. I also said how it would likely give you some excellent insight into the game.
Then I watched it.
Now I realized it would probably be one big commercial for the game, but I’m already sold on getting it, so I was mainly interested in hearing the commentary.
My-GAWD did they choose some TERRIBLE people to give their thoughts! Why in the world do I need to hear Wayne Brady’s or Shannon Elizabeth’s opinions on this game? They obviously had no clue what they were talking about. Even X-Play’s Joel Gourdin said some very generic comments you could easily make about almost any other Sci-Fi game.
I would have posted some direct quotes, but in my disgust after watching this poorly produced dribble, I hastily deleted it from my DVR.
The special wasn’t all terrible, an IGN writer, and the developers had some truly interesting things to say, however this was constantly ruined by clueless pandering.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go slap myself … no wait … Mrs. Supa has offered to do it for me, since I made her watch it too.
Ouch.

Had the produced by stink of those free cable-on-demand Lifeskool video game shows. Jonathan Drubner is the most awful, unfunny host. Even Chuck Woolery would look down on him. The only saving grace on both shows is Jessica Chobot who’s not only stunning, but a wickedly funny games journalist.
