Scandal ROCKS Podtacular!

November 27th, 2007 · 12 Comments

podtacular.jpgGamercast Network Affiliate Podtacular is mobilizing it’s entire public relations machine today, in an effort to cover up one of the largest scandals ever to rock the Halo community. Photographic evidence is POURING into our Sarcastic Gamer newsroom, as amateur photographers from all corners of the world submit the proof to back up their eyewitness accounts. Podtacular founder Foo Mo Jive, considered by many to one of the planet’s leading experts on the Halo Universe has found himself squarely in the crosshairs of this credibility nightmare.

“I was just sitting there on Xbox Live, browsing my friends list, and I opened up Foo Mo Jive’s profile… when I saw it,” said one of our tipsters, who wishes to use the name “Obey” to conceal his identity. “I almost choked on my pretzel.”

See what’s causing all of the commotion, after the jump.

Obey continued, “I mean…. dude…. he’s Foo Mo Jive! A Halo Icon. If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn’t have believed it myself.”

Although initially denied by Jive’s representatives as a photoshop hoax, the staggering number of individuals submitting their own photos of the incident has forced even his most loyal followers to re-evaluate their allegiance to the iconic Halo community member.

“My first reaction was like, it must be an error,” said another amateur shutterbug, who submitted the following closeup. (Identified only by his initials “CJI”). “But when I looked at the photo again, there was no mistaking it… Foo Mo Jive plays Halo 3 on EASY. Excuse me, I need to go throw up.”

Officials at Bungie, who are closely monitoring the developing situation, vehemently deny that they have revoked Foo Mo Jive’s Golden Helmet, an honor bestowed to only a handful of influential Halo community leaders.

“Look, we’re sure that Foo Mo Jive has a perfectly reasonable explanation for all of this,” said a spokesperson for the company. “But if he tries the whole ‘My girlfriend was playing’ excuse, we may have to re-evaluate his standing.”

Our requests for comment by a Podtacular representative have, thus far, gone unanswered.

This is not a parody. Those pictures were taken on 11/26/07 and are 100% real.

For shame Foo Mo Jive. For shame!

If Halo 3 is too hard for Foo Mo Jive, perhaps we should introduce him to Dave’s Mommy Handholding Game. It’s got Balloons!
