Nintendo Adding Another Worthless Wii Channel?

Nintendo announced that they will be adding a new channel specifically for all those Miis that you’ve spent so much time painstakingly creating on your Wii. This new channel, appropriately named “Check Mii Out,” will allow Wii owners to upload any of the Miis they’ve created and then other Wii owners will be able to browse them, rank them, and even download them for your own personal use.

Find out more, after the jump.

Anybody else find this idea almost as dumb as the TV Program Schedule Channel? Does anybody even care about those Miis that you created? I know for most people that creating them was fun for about the first week and then it became real old, real quick. How much fun does Nintendo think people are going to have by loading up this channel and then voting on which Mii you think looks most like Britney Spears? (my vote will go toward the fattest and baldest one!)

My guess is that this new addition to the Wii Channels will hold peoples’ attention for, at most, one day, which is pretty ironic, because this will be available for download on November 11th, exactly one day before Super Mario Galaxy releases. At least this will get your Wii warmed up for the inevitably long gaming sessions with the new Mario adventure.

Which reminds me, have you read my SG Exclusive Review for Super Mario Galaxy? It’s so popular that Metacritic is thinking about throwing out all the other reviews and just using mine.
