Gamer Targeted Virus?

With all the great PC games coming out, I felt it is my duty as a gamer to let you know this: If you bought a Seagate hard drive recently, it’s time to quit out of COD 4 and run that virus scan NOW SOLIDER!

Seagate is reporting that some of their Maxtor Basics Personal Storage 3200 drives were shipped with a virus on them! What’s even stranger is the TYPE of a virus.

It’s called the “Virus.Win32.AutoRun.ah” and apparently it targets your logins and passwords for your online video game accounts and sends them to a server in China.

I guess some die hard hacker would rather spend time on a virus so he could play as your character rather than use that time to just start his own!

I’m sure their could be more serious implications than just that so if you value you online gamer status, better double check that new drive of yours fast!

At least Xbox 360 and PS3 owners are safe from this type of thing .. for now anyway.

Damn hackers.
