Epic’s Motion to Dismiss is Dismissed!

Silicon Knight’s lawsuit against Epic Games for breach of contract will go forward after the US District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina denied Epic’s Motion to Dismiss the complaint involving Unreal Engine 3.

This essentially paves the way for the lawsuit to go forth unabated, barring any shennanigans with regard to Epic’s counterclaim.

Things could really get messy though if Silicon Knight’s counter-counterclaim, or Epic’s counter-counter-counterclaim goes forward.  Then again, Silicon Knight’s counter-counter-counter-counterclaim could really throw a monkeywrench into the whole thing, especially if Epic’s counter-counter-counter-counter-counterclaim goes forward.

(Kidding, at least, I think?)

Time to settle this in…..Thunderdome!  Two Developers enter, one developer leaves!  Bring in the MasterBlaster!

“Phoenix Wright: The Epic Case of the Silicon Knight.” It even sounds like a good entry in the lawyer game series.
