Dancing With Your Wii

A Dancing with the Stars game for the Wii? Excuse me … I need to throw up.

I’ll just come out and say it. I hate reality shows. My hate for them burns like fire of a thousand suns.

No, hate isn’t strong enough.

Find out why after the break!

If reality shows were a nice old lady, I’d slice her in half with a katana and then post it on Youtube. Reality shows are destroying what good television is left, as well as putting hard working, creative American tv writers out of work. The problem is as much as I hate them, enough people continue to watch them, so they keep getting made and are put on the air. Why lord WHY?!!!

Ahem.

So what’s worse than people watching reality shows? People buying a video game based on a reality show! If I didn’t see the horrible tv commercial, I wouldn’t believe this sacrilegious monstrosity existed. Then again, looking at the other dreck that is out for the Wii, maybe I would.

So Activision recently released a Dancing with the Stars for the Wii. (There’s a PS2 version too … but you can’t flail your arms around like an idiot with that one.) You use the Wii controllers to mimic the 10 dance styles of your on screen “celebrity performers”… but wait … you get to add your own “personal flair” to each of the moves! Sign me up!

What disgusts me even more is that Dancing with the Stars is one of the most popular reality shows, it even rivals American Idol. Therefore, clueless mothers out there might actually think this would be a good game for their kids!

*Shudder.*

So please do me a favor .. if you MUST support a reality show, at least don’t support crappy games based on them.

TV writers will thank you, and I will too.

Why does Acti-sellout-vision have Guitar Hero?
It makes no sense to me at all.
