Yep, the space shooter that began all space shooters, back in 1979, will be available on Xbox Live Arcade tomorrow. For a cool fiver you get Asteroids and Asteroids Plus (you get shields!). As with most of the classic re-releases, you’ll have the option to play them old school, or with revamped graphics.

Ok, so it may not be Mass Effect, heck it’s not even Everyday Shooter. However, if you’re dying for some outer space gaming nostalgia from a time just before people discovered Darth Vader was Luke’s papa , Asteroids could be the way to go.

Just think, you can fire away while screaming “Noooooo!!!!!”
