Infinity Ward is scrambling this morning, in an effort to cover an apparent leak regarding the next installment in the Call of Duty series. In an email that was leaked to Sarcastic Gamer, late last night, our anonymous source says the developer is already well into the development cycle for Call of Duty 5: More Modern Combat and Call of Duty 6: Even MORE Modern Combat.
We had such huge success with the COD 1, 2, and 3, which were set in WW2, that we’re going to stick to that formula for COD 4, 5, and 6. Essentially all we have to do is make a few maps, add a weapon or two, and call it a sequel!
The memo went on to say that the decision wasn’t based solely on the success of the first three games in the series.
We feel left out. I mean EA is buying up every studio in sight, but they haven’t even called us. By adopting this new development strategy, we think we’re bringing Infinity Ward more in line with EA’s business model… So maybe now they’ll give us the time of day.

Fair enough. But don’t you think that if EA bought Infinity Ward, there would be no Call of Duty every two months? They would release it annually with the year number at the end of the title, like they do with every other game.

Freddie im affraid your son isn’t “all that”, the storyline is short yes but the multiplayer is the excitment.
If you bought it for the xbox then you payed more just because of the green x, but if it were PC you would of saved about a teener or twenty

i would of had to upgrade my computer,which would of cost me more in the long run,never fancied playing games on the pc as the graphics cards need changing when new games are brought out,too expensive,we bought the xbox thinking it would have two controllers to play the multiplay but unforntunately it came with one

I don’t understand people who play through games like Call Of Duty 4 on Easy or Normal and then complain that it’s too short a game. Try playing it on Veteran as soon as you get the game and you’ll find you’re given a much better challenge and you actually have to develop your patience, tactics and determination to be able to win through to the end.
You surely can’t be satisfied simply playing against easy opponents. Clearly not since you complain at the end of the game.

Freddie, what adam is referring to is the ONLINE Multiplayer. This level of gameplay varies through the different players that play COD4 online. COD4 is hands down the 2007 GAME of the Year…which is also why the new year brought in so many players. Thanks all you new players that flooded XBOX live and slowing down all of the servers…shame on you Activision/IW/Xbox Live for not preparing for the holiday rush.

call of duty 4 is a bit short to play single player. online is really good but it should be more able to pick if u r a S.A.S solider or a Russian soldier or many more like china or france and there should be able to pick more kit the game as i already said but all my mates who play it just want more

if treyarch makes COD5 back to WW2 then the whole COD Series just got shot to hell,,b/c my opinion dont flame me if you disagree just shutup but COD 1,2,3, were set to WW2 then COD4 Hits Modern day combat like we see it today so if COD4 is set to Modern Combat why go back to WW2 if 5 goes to WW2 then COD4 was made for nothing!!

in this day in age the game should have been twice as big, level size and amounts of missions. PLUS choose battlefields to fight in what country you fight for, navy/army/airforce. etc.
then, THEN you should be able to blow holes through walls shoot rabits in holes or shoot rag heads in holes.

I agree with cod5 goes down. Infinity Ward/Activision should make cod5 in the future, and they bring back Gaz, Griggs, Price, Soap, Macmullen, Kamarov, Nikolai, Jackson, and Vazquez with like a vita-chamber like in Bioshock. And they should fight in the future with cool weapons and tactics.

). I was hoping for cod5 to be something like cod4 but with vehicles in some maps. I would also like them to bring back the medic class, the medic was the best thing about cod3 in my opinion :\.

It would be really cool to Make a call of duty that can allow you to fly and operate vehicals and fight on the ground. For example you could fly a bomber or a helicopter and land anywhere, get out, get your gun and go fight the enemy

call of duty 4 was realy short in career mode but on xbox live it is soo much fun and it lasts for ages after 3-4 months of playin atleast an hour or 2 a day im half way through the 4th prestige mode and theres 10 of them and aparently theyre going to put on more prestige modes and more maps

About this, cod5 is actually WWII not modern warfare. This is because it is made by Treyarch who made cod3. Cod6 however is set for release late 2009 or early to mid 2010 and is also set for release on the xbox 720 console which will be released about the same time. Cod6 has many stories to it and one of which by the developers of infinity ward says that it will “mayby” take off from cod4 but may also include “future” warfare as battlefireld took on for BF 2142.

Yes there are new maps for cod4 (killhouse, chinatown, creek & broadcast) and yes there will be more prestiges (its harder to find prestiges than u think, every prestige is the same icon in life) as also for new guns and perks will be released soon and also a new item on a 10 kill streak “a war jet or tank”??

there are many questions I want to ask but i will stick to minimum is there going to be another kill streak aftyer ten?. and to be quite frank just adding a few maps and wepeons is a bit cheesy. And on multiplayer are there going to be more maps on that aswell. and singleplayer is there a plot with like marines and S.A.S or is it delta force and british troops?. Is there a main plot like getting zakeheav and al asad or is it just do levels?
