IGN is reporting a super exciting secret.
Apparently on black friday the Nintendo DS will get … are you ready? Two new colors!
You will soon be able to get a special golden Zelda edition (complete with an adorable little triforce on it) that comes with Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, or the even cooler Nintendog package in metallic pink!
I suppose this isn’t at all surprising. Nintendo is the king of rehashing this kind of stuff. I mean, how many times did the original game boy get a new color, before the screen actually displayed color itself?
Personally, I’m waiting for the Cooking Mama edition, complete with apron covering case!

the zelda ds is ok and i can see a lot of people buying one this christmas.
Yep, it never amazes me how much Nintendo is able to generate more sales of the same product just by changing the color. They somehow do it better than anybody.
the saying money for old rope comes to mind not that the ds is a bad system its not but simply giving it a new colour every few weeks is a bit of a cash in.maybe they should bring out a green ds to celebrate all the money its made them. whats the next colour going to be?
my son wants a DS for Xmas and I’m tempted to go for the Zelda bundle. Plus the DS we already have and the games we already have opens up a world of single-cart multiplayer that we’ll get to use now. Which is a nice bonus.
wow I hate the DS. Crappiest handheld I ever played. I traded mine in and got a PSP. PSP is a great handheld.
