Strogg Constructor vs. GDF Engineer

November 16th, 2007 · No Comments

It’s the final day of our Enemy Territory: Quake_Wars contest, where we’ll tell you a little bit about two of the player classes in this fantastic PC game, and you vote for your favorite. By voting, you’re automatically registered to win a free copy of the game from id Software. For the complete information on the contest, click here.

TODAY, we’re kicking it up a notch. Not only will we choose a game winner from each side of the poll, but the winner from whichever class gets the most votes, will also score the official strategy guide.

Constructor versus Engineer

Today we’re pitting the Strogg Constructor against the GDF Engineer. Battle of the grease monkeys! Learn a little bit about the candidates, after the jump.

Strogg Constructor
The Strogg engineering expert constructs and repairs dynamic objectives and deploys anti-personnel and anti-vehicle turrets. He can choose from one of two support weapons: the Nailgun, or a modified Lacerator with built-in Grenade Launcher. He carries a number of Proximity Mines and the Repair Drone, an AI-based automatic repair tool that will pursue damaged Strogg vehicles, repair them, and then return to the Constructor (providing he’s not busy with his numerous motivational speaking engagements.)

GDF Engineer
The Engineer is a support/defense class, constructing and repairing vehicles, deployables, and objectives (bridges and machinery). He also deploys and maintains defense turrets, like the Anti-Personnel, Anti-Missile and Anti-Vehicle deployables. The Engineer carries the N22 Shotgun and multi-purpose mines. He’s a work-a-holic, whose wife left him because he was always coming home late from battle.

So now that you know a little more about the candidates, it’s time to vote and enter to win a free copy of Enemy Terrotory: Quake Wars for the PC. Log in to our forums to get started! New around here? You can register for our forums in a matter of moments.
