products.gifHave you ever wondered what it feels like to get shot in the chest or stabbed in the abdomen, but don’t want to deal with the pain and internal bleeding? TNGames has just the solution for you obviously intelligent gamers out there. The force-feedback 3rdSpace FPS Vest can generate impacts of bullets, knives, or other various killing devices, plus G-Forces without the airsickness.

The device currently only works for PC gamers, and a limited amount of games. Call of Duty 2, Quake 3 & 4, and Doom 3 round up the short list of titles. No word on a console version, or a wireless version for on-the-go realism.

A US medical surgeon developed the vest to test feedback on a patient’s body from a distance. Doctors can teleconference to their clients remotely to actually “feel” the quivering freaked-out person wearing the thing. This could lead to future co-op verisons of Trauma Center, or perhaps the idea will just tank like all the other gimmicky devices developed by third parties. I’m still looking for a game to use with my USB Caterpillar Backhoe Controller.
