Looks like the oft delayed Super Smash Brothers Brawl for the Wii is getting some kick ass extras thrown in like a ….
Level Editor! Hell yeah.
Wow, color me jealous. That sounds pretty cool. You’ll be able to make your own battle maps and Nintendo has indicated that you’ll be able to share them with your friends.
That sounds pretty cool. They finally did something right for the 10% of the ownership that aren’t octogenarians or alpha moms… Hard to make fun of this little nugget. Game on.

While any level editor is better then no level editor, this seems like a poor knockoff of Forge. Now I’m no lover of Halo Jesus, so don’t knock me for some detractor of anything that isn’t Halo, but the Wii isn’t known for its depth. Doing a bit of research on this one, it seems like a very shallow tack on. Who knows though, I hope Smash Brothers rocks, as it will give me an excuse to boot up my Wii outside of the two nights a week where I’m drunk and bored with friends. Wii Sports is more over played then the preverbal “your mom” joke, and if six months from now Wii sports is still the major selling point in buying a Wii, Nintindo better get its head out of its ass.

If you can actually make a level, it will be ten times what forge is.

We can always cross our fingers and hope for the best. I’m something of a map maker for any game i own with an editor (Mostly Starcraft Currently). I just hope it’s good enough to replicate the pre-made maps, and if it is, I don’t know how anyone could complain about this turn of events.

Based on some screenshots of it floating around the web, its going to be horribly gimped do to simple designs and not much room for creativity.
While I can see it as a interesting distraction from time to time, it won’t hold up to the test of time I’d bet.
