The long anticipated 4th expansion pack for Zoo Tycoon 2 is almost here, and I’m drooling like a saber-toothed tiger gazing at a wounded wooly mammoth. Nothing else on the market satisfies my need for simulating caged animals, making this a must buy.
We’re not just talking about dodo birds and ice age critters. Microsoft took a page from Jurassic Park, adding several different dinosaur species. In my future Extinct Animals zoo, I have a feeling the walls of the T-Rex cage will frequently be deleted. People, I am really pulling for one-on-one dinosaur fights. You haven’t lived until you’ve seen a brontosaurus take down a velociraptor in mid-air with its flesh-melting acid spit.
But, behind all the flashy new species, there must be an underlying marketing scheme. Yes, I am afraid this game is only a transition for Extinct Animals 2: Global Warming. You know it’s coming.
