A relationship that has remained shrouded in mystery was exposed to the world earlier today.Against the wishes of their friends and family, Microsoft and Electronic Arts have been secretly “doing it” for more than a year now, according to Microsoft’s publicist, Bernie Goldblatz.

They genuinely love each other, and care for one another. It’s a very serious relationship. The sex is great.

Many video game industry insiders say they are kicking themselves for not seeing the signs earlier.

“Well just look at the gifts they’ve been exchanging,” said one lead designer who wished to remain anonymous. “First EA gave Microsoft all those beautiful titles, then Microsoft gave them Peter Moore. I should have guessed those two were hooking up.”

A representative from Sony called the relationship “adulterous”, claiming that it too was carrying on a romance with EA. Sony’s Barney Vickers.

“No wonder EA gave us Madden at 30 frames per second for the PS3. That two-timing bitch!”

Nintendo would not officially comment on the announcement, although a inside source tells us that the console maker prefers to work on their Wii by themselves, so they really don’t care one way or the other.
