Now that Halo 3 is finally here, and we’ve all got that “I’ve been staring at the TV too long without blinking” glaze over our eyes, I’ve begun racking my brain to find SOMETHING to look forward to.
I asked myself, “Self? What’s the next BIG THING for gamers around the world to look forward to, now that our unofficial Halo 3 holiday has come to pass?”
Then it hit me like a 720P ball of junk. The next revolution in gaming, will, without a doubt, be Beautiful Katamari from Namco Bandai.
With just 21 days remaining until the release of this blockbuster, you can almost feel the excitement.
With more than 3 copies of the game already on worldwide preorder, the hype storm surrounding Beautiful Katamari is deafening, even against the still-reverberating drone of the Halo 3 explosion.
You can’t help but get caught up in the frenzied interest. Just reading Bandai-Namco’s official page about the game is enough to light a blue flame in your 2D soul.
All new soundtrack - Pick up items at your leisure to a brand new catchy soundtrack.
New Levels - New levels and objects present the player with more craziness to conquer like keeping your cool and collecting frosty items in the Ice House!
I mean seriously, does anything send the butterflies of excitement fluttering through your belly more than rolling a ball of random stuff around an icehouse with an all new soundtrack? I don’t think so either.
If you don’t understand Beautiful Katamari, it’s okay. You’re probably just an idiot. Don’t worry, we’ll save you a place in the Katamari Nation, once you come to a deeper understanding of this game’s strategic underpinnings. This isn’t just rolling a ball around a cruddy map picking up poorly rendered but artistically interesting animations. Beautiful Katamari is a metaphor. A metaphor you’ll just have to try and figure out on your
own.
So enjoy Halo 3. It might just be enough to get you through the next excrutiating few weeks until October 15th. Mark my words. Beautiful Katamari will pwn teh Halos.
The Kountdown to Katamari….. is on.
