With great anticipation I finally received my Call of Duty 4 Beta key in my email inbox. As fast as physics would let me, I downloaded that bad boy. In the meantime, I somehow get into a private XBL chat with Lono, who is online and already playing it…and telling me how bad ass it is.
I launch the game and Lono invited me to the game he is playing. I finally get there and suddenly I then I get the “Downloading” crap pop up. I wait and wait and wait, but it does not leave my screen… Then I am informed that I cannot play COD4 without being signed into XBL. WTF, I am already signed in.
I exit and try again, I delete the beta and re-download, which took forever. Then I say a little prayer to Bill Gates, but still nothing. So I have the beta, but it is unplayable since you can only play multiplayer. Son of a Beeyatch.
I know it is a free privilege, but is it too much to ask for it to work? It’s not cool to launch a problem ridden beta.
Who do I blame for my unhappiness? Activision…Infinityward, no the source of this annoyance is and always will be Lono.
It’s always Lono’s fault.
